IN SUPPORT OF SYMETRA PLAYERS AND FAMILIES –GREATLIFE CARES FOUNDATION PLEDGES TO MATCH FUNDS FOR HOUSTON RELIEF
Shannon Fish, a Houston native and player on the LPGA Symetra Tour, pledged her fundraising commitment yesterday. Today, GreatLIFE is expanding upon the movement begun by Fish. GreatLIFE Cares Foundation will match funds up to $50,000 for the Houston Relief Fund on Wednesday, August 30 at the Pro Am and throughout the GreatLIFE Challenge tournament.
Simply pick up a pledge card anytime at the event, or download here, and pick the player you choose to back. Then pledge a dollar amount per par, per birdie or per eagle made by that player. You can also pledge a flat amount. Pledges can be made at the tournament or dropped off at Great Western Bank, Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls, and any GreatLIFE location. When the tournament is complete, your tally will go exclusively to the Houston Relief Fund and be matched by GreatLIFE Cares Foundation.
“What began yesterday as a great gesture from one of Symetra’s own has grown into something even bigger,” says GreatLIFE Chairman/CEO Thomas P. Walsh Sr. “Houston and the people facing such tragedy have been on all our minds. And it wouldn’t be right to not support our friends there.”
Five players in the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge call Houston home: Raegan Bremer, Shannon Fish, Jayde Panos, Chirapat Jao-Javanil and Portland Rosen. Countless more have been devastated by Hurricane Harvey. Please join us by playing a part in helping the families of Houston.
