Get ready for a week of outstanding golf in Sioux Falls as the GreatLIFE Challenge brings some of golf’s top female athletes to Willow Run Golf Course.

If you like golf – as a player or a spectator – you’ll love watching these golfers compete. Here are six things every fan needs to know about this week’s events.

Your view is flexible.

It’s up to you how you want to take in the Symetra tournament. “Some people bring a chair. Some people walk the tournament because they have a favorite golfer they want to watch,” said Teri Schmidt, executive director of the Sioux Falls Convention & Visitors Bureau. “There’s good seating out there, but if you want to walk the course you can.”

It’s affordable.

You can take in the entire four-day event for just $20, or $5 per day. All tickets will be sold at Willow Run.

Kids are welcome.

Not only are kids invited to watch the tournament, but they can take part in the action with a free clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 29, including the Willow Run driving range, putting green and short game area.

There’s great food.

Willow Run offers food and beverages on-site, so there’s no need to bring anything with you. Plus, The Willows restaurant has an outstanding menu and patio seating if you’d like to take a break from the course!

There’s entertainment.

Come on Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. and see golf entertainer Chuck the Hit Man, billed as the greatest golf trick shot show on Earth!

There’s parking.

“There is parking for spectators, with extra space available at Willow Run,” Schmidt said.

The Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge runs Aug. 28 through Sept. 3 with the award presentation concluding the tournament at 2 p.m. For information visit greatlifechallenge.com.
